“That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving...”Psalm 26:7 Vol.5, No.4 April 1996 "He is not here, for he is risen, as he said." Dear Family of God: "In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre." (Matthew 28:1) The sepulchre was simply a cave in the side of a mountain where Jesus was buried. Many are in the caves today, there being buried from their old lives and natures. But thank God, the day is now dawning and the angel of the Lord is rolling back the stone and a great resurrection is about to take place. A tremendous amount of training has taken place in the past few years. This training has been to make us into the image of Christ. It has been an obscure transformation; but, oh, when it is finished, the glory of Christ will shine brightly upon the ones who have died to the old nature and have allowed His new nature to arise. The very next verse says, "And, behold, there was a great earthquake..." Believe it or not, I have been quaking for three months now. It started in January. I started having jolts that I never had before. I didn't understand it. But of course not wanting anything outside of the Lord, I had to find it in scripture. All I could liken it to was "jerks." It was so prevalent, anyone around me knew something was wrong, even in public I would jerk uncontrollably. One person asked if I had "Tourette's syndrome." I couldn't find anything in the Word, until I was told by a brother to look up trembling. Sure enough, one definition is "violently quaking in the body." Wow! It really was God. [I knew that!] I just didn't want to quench the Holy Spirit, no matter how it looked. My wife suffered with me for about a month as I jerked nightly in our water bed. Then it subsided a bit. But now it becomes more prevalent in the presence of the Lord and often as I sit and contemplate the things of God, or even in the presence of another Spirit-led brother. Why share this? Because something is happening in the earth again. A new day is dawning. We are coming out of a cave. A great resurrection is about to take place in the church. It is time to awake out of our slumber. The angel answered and said, "Fear not ye; for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here, for he is risen, as he said." Oh the glory, when we arise with Him! In Christ
