That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving...Psalm 26:7 Vol.5, No.7 July 1996
Dear Family of God:
It is often a demeaning thing to see yourself small. It makes you feel very inferior and often less than you really are. BUT IS THAT SO BAD? After all, why should we see ourselves as anything big or important? Are we not after the manner of "Christ, our all in all"? (1 Cor. 15:28 KJV) "And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all." If you look small in your eyes, perhaps there is a reason. Perhaps the Lord is trying to subdue your soul so that He can rule. Everything the Lord is doing today is to subdue us, which means "to bring into obedience." I am finding that He has a perfect way of subduing us. And as He does: (Ps. 23:3 KJV) "He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." The Lord is for you, not against you. Don't belittle yourself in the eyes of the Lord. Rejoice that He is saving you daily. Remember the words of this old song: "LITTLE IS MUCH WHEN GOD IS IN IT." You will always be much greater in the eyes of our Savior than in your own if He is becoming your ALL IN ALL.
