That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving...Psalm 26:7 Vol.6, No.9 September 1997 Dear Family of God: I love you so much. I really do mean that. The love of God is so strong; this thing is a reality. I sometimes think I am carrying all of you too much in my heart. But then I realize I must allow Jesus to carry the burdens of your life. That doesn't mean I don't care anymore. I am not made to carry so much grief and sorrow and disappointment. It is only when we truly allow Jesus to bear the load that we can love one another. True love is tough. True love will not quit. You can't run from true love. But many today have given up on love, especially the ones they love the most, simply because they have not allowed Jesus to bear the load. The test of true love is being able to love one another the way Jesus loves us. But don't be deceived. If you don't want to be with the family of God, you cannot be loving them in the love of God. I do get exhausted from all the excuses of why people can't do this or that for the Lord, when in reality they simply don't have the love to do it. LOVE ALWAYS GIVES, ALWAYS PUTS OTHERS ABOVE THEMSELVES AND THEIR OWN ACTIVITIES. LOVE ALWAYS GIVES TIME FOR OTHERS. Jesus knows what is deep inside of all of us. The backsliders of today have given up on love. They think they can love Jesus without loving their brother or sister in the Lord. Remember this, the Lord is coming back for one thing only -- "Will Jesus find faith when He returns?" (Luke 18:8) Faith is found in faithfulness: Faithfulness to God's Word, to God's Way, to God's Will. And all of that is wrapped up in the great commandment: (Mark 12:30-31 KJV) "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. {31} And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." Do we really comprehend the love of God? I want to say especially to the ones who are faithful: It is a blessing to watch you among the Saints. You can always be counted on to fulfill your part in the body. You are always there. I not only can call you and know you will be faithful, but you are always doing your part without any one asking or telling or checking. I believe for one reason alone you can continue to do this Because you love the Lord with all your heart and soul. Guard your hearts with all diligence so when the Master returns He will find you faithful!! In Christ
