The Abortion Purpose

Ex. 1:8-14, 22 (KJV) “Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. 9And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: 10Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. 11Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses. 12But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. 13And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: 14And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour. 22And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.”

Much like the day of Israel’s slavery, we are living in a spiritually difficult time. All around us, the enemy is making our lives miserable. We are an indebted people. We work till we drop. Never seeming to get ahead in time or finances, we struggle. Our natural slavery affects our spiritual outlook. Many times we find ourselves defeated, living in chaos. But we have also been living in a time where God has poured out His Spirit so graciously. We look to the beginnings of the Charismatic move through the present day and note many renewals and revivals across this land. America even continues to wait for that last glorious move of God as has been prophesied to bring in the return of the King of Kings.

But let us make note of verse 22. Even as their bondage intensified, the number of God’s people increased. Yet no deliverance came. At this point, Pharaoh ordered every son born to die. Today, the enemy hasn’t changed. God’s people are in bondage. God pours out fresh revelation like never before to grow the church, yet the church does not escape their bondage, and the enemy calls for the death of millions of unborn children.

Why has the enemy done this? The same reason Pharaoh did it in Exodus 1:10. For fear that the people’s number would be so great that in war the enemy would be defeated. Many that have died since Roe vs. Wade would be old enough now to have their own children. How large would the church be if abortion had not been legalized? The enemy knows that if the church grows, he would be defeated and the bondage would be broken.

Remember when Christ was born? Matt. 2:7-8,12,16 (KJV) “Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. 8And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. 12And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. 16Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.”

Whenever a savior is to come, children die by the thousands or even millions. The enemy has done his job well in slowing the church’s progress. But the good news is that the savior is always protected and emerges just at the right time. Moses was put in the river in Egypt; Jesus fled to Egypt. There is always an Egyptian experience of bondage before the manifestation of a great and mighty savior. Moses came, Jesus came, and soon Jesus will come again. Let us be ready. Bible history shows us that the time is very near. Satan would want to kill the church by destroying babies, but he cannot destroy Christ in this earth.

Arise, Church! Arise, God’s people! It is time to take a stand against death. Christ is the bread of life. Let’s offer it and save the world!
