“That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving...” Psalm 26:7

Vol. 10, No. 2 February 2001

Dear Family of God:

I know, I know, here we go again with this issue about SIN. It’s not over. Everyday you have breath in you, there is opportunity for sin. Yes, Jesus has saved you, but sin still abounds. Take it seriously. Don’t shrug it off as part of life. Deal with it. Get angry about it and don’t continue sinning. Don’t let sin have its way with you. Stay in the heavenly realm of His glory, yielding yourself unto God as one who is alive unto righteous living. It is the way of life for the believer. Anything less than this is suspect to error inconsistent with Christian living. Don’t be as the world, with the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life leading you. Be led by the Holy Spirit, which is your comfort and peace and your very life. Get the mind of Christ and be made alive unto His coming. This is the fullness of all that God has done for you. This is the way of true believers and it makes a difference.

The time we now spend in this life is what makes up the next life. Don’t allow the enemy to steal, kill and destroy the life you now have in Christ and make you feel worthless or unworthy. It is a fight to the finish. We know the outcome, but we must fight for our very lives – to live holy and acceptable unto Him – our reasonable service.

I am bound and determined to receive the glory from God by living every day as holy as is possible. It is not my holiness, but the Christ that lives in me, that is the holiness I live by. And the fulfillment of His word will be manifested to me and to all that come. No, we can’t make anything happen, but by the power of His glory we can be a part of what happens – unto life and not death.

Even though we die daily, we also live daily unto the resurrection power of Christ Jesus – and Brother, Sister, that is living life to its fullest.

In Christ

Pr. Steve
