That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving... Psalm 26:7 Vol. 10, No. 3 March 2001 Dear Family of God: Welcome to the battle of the ages. At least for our generation it has begun. All the warnings in the world could not ascertain what this is all about, but it is just beginning. What is it? In the spirit realm there is going to be a face off between Elijah and Jezebel. Malachi 4:5 (KJV) “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.” Yes, this is speaking about “the day of the Lord.” Prior to the day of judgment and wrath, the spirit of Elijah will rise upon those prepared by the Spirit of God. This is a day of warfare. Although the Lord has graced us with good leadership in this country, we have yet to experience a tremendous battle between good and evil. These Jezebel spirits are mounting forces against the body of Christ in unprecedented manner. We have been in a period of great training for this time. Jezebel has cut off many of the prophets of the Lord, but Obadiah has hidden many prophets and is feeding them with bread and water. Obadiah speaks of the bond-servant of the Lord. Those who have paid the price of godliness without compromise are feeding these who will rise up and take their rightful place with the Word of Truth. These are being watered with the presence of the Holy Spirit, ready to go forth at the command of the Lord. An army of prophets is ready to be released on the earth and at the precise moment. Allowing the people to do the ministry has been difficult these last few years. But thank God it has brought forth the life of the Spirit, and many are being used today like never before. The Jezebel spirit is working in the average person today against all that is holy, just and true. In every walk of life people are fearful, agitated and fed up. They are ready to kill, having evil thoughts against the righteous of the Lord. If the righteous are not prepared with what is happening, they will strike back in an unbiblical manner. We must not run and hide, but stand against this evil manifestation. Don’t halt between two opinions. If the Lord be God follow him. Take up your cross and follow Him. Follow! He is leading us to victory. Yes, it may be in the midst of battles you have never had before, but follow. Stand strong and see the salvation of your God. Don’t retreat, don’t waver, don’t speak forth defeat, but speak forth victory. Be a faithful steward of what God has already done, and believe the outcome will bring the will and purpose of God in your life. The Lord will not fail you, neither will he forsake you in your time of need. However, let God be God. Don’t determine ahead of time your concept of the way it should be. All religious and traditional concepts are being diminished. This will allow the results to be totally a matter of faith—not your effort, but faith—faith that will move mountains so that the light can shine freely without hindrance. Many ministers have encountered the Jezebel spirit individually. Now the church is experiencing it in unprecedented ways. This spirit has no favorites. Anyone who will take on the Spirit of Christ is prey. The church is now growing in His Spirit, but not without a fight. We have learned much that we must now put it into practice. Now are we tested with what we think we know and what we truly believe. Will your faith sustain you during these dark days? Don’t wait to find out. Be prepared today. Make sure your relationship is steadfast and sure.
