That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving... Psalm 26:7 Vol. 11, No. 12 December 2002 Dear Family of God: “Well!” “Well!” Have you ever said that? Most of us do at one time or the other. What are we saying? There are a multitude of definitions for this word. But the one I am interested in when I hear someone say, “Well!” usually means an expression of surprise at what just happened. This is where the body of Christ is coming – into an expression of surprise at what God is doing and will do. He is going to do some almighty acts that will surprise us. Although the Bible tells us we should not be surprised, I believe we are going to have to see some major changes manifest before we get past our “Well!” These changes will get us past our surprise at God and how He is working today. Our generation has been lulled into a stupor of smugness that is now melting away at the Presence of Almighty God. As Christians there are not many things that surprise us any longer. But my God is full of surprise and wonder. It brings joy and comfort to our hearts. It makes us long for more. It brings a satisfaction that we have waited for a long time. Well! Get ready! The Lord has a surprise for all those who have waited patiently. The splendor of His coming in glory is about to break loose in the Church. Well! Well! Glory!
