Destined To Become - part 2 of 3 (King James and Amplified Versions) INTRODUCTION In this article I wish to share three recent dreams, each of which addresses various stages through which God is leading His Church toward her destiny. For three years I have had numerous dreams about babies, but within the past month these dreams have developed both in content and symbolism. Until recently, I had repeatedly dreamed of being responsible for the care and protection of a single baby, always a girl. I found myself continually searching for something to use as diapers and clothing, as well as for water to wash the baby and her scant clothing supply, sometimes only a single blanket. Her safety and protection took precedence over every other activity. As for the interpretation of these dreams, I sensed God urging the Church, represented by me, a woman, to prepare for the harvest of new converts whose needs will require individual care, righteous clothing, repeated cleaning with the water of the Word and protection from the evil one. The Lord is searching for those who will forsake their own lives in order to care for the spiritual babies about to fill His nursery. FIRST DREAM Physical pregnancy at my sixty-plus years is most unlikely, but in this dream I knew I was pregnant, though no outward indication of pregnancy was evident. As I was taking a leisurely walk, I knew the onset of labor had began, but instead of being gripped with pain, I felt only joyful anticipation. A nurse who was nearby tried to reassure me that there was plenty of time. Unable to convince her how rapidly the labor was progressing, I reached with my own hand to determine the actual stage of the delivery. My fingers felt the baby crown. There would be no delay. Related Scripture and Key to Partial Interpretation (Are interpretations ever complete?) “Before Zion travailed she gave birth; before her pain came upon her she was delivered of a man-child” {Isa 66:7}. Hand and fingers = the five-fold ministry “And the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple…”{Mal 3:1}. SECOND DREAM A teenager who was unable to adjust to a regular school environment enrolled in a life-practice program. The students met in a building which also served as headquarters for a witness-protection program. The girl was caring for a small, dark-haired baby whose facial features, olive skin and mass of black hair all combined to make him easily identifiable as being from another country. To me he looked Mexican. The child was being hidden in protective custody for two reasons, the first of which was his citizenship from another country. The second revolved around the few precious gems hidden within the foot of the bunting in which he was wrapped. These gems constituted His inheritance. Not pictured but obviously a key figure in the drama was Evil, a satanic force who assumed the form of man. As danger of his being discovered increased, the baby’s appearance changed. His skin became less olive and his hair turned light brown, thus making him indistinguishable from any other baby of that locale. Though still an infant, he suddenly appeared several months older; and as he rested peacefully in my arms, I prophesied over him that he would always be obedient to God’s will. In response, the child awakened and smiled, displaying four lower teeth. He also spoke, informing me that three other people had already spoken these exact words over him. The scene changed and I was once again holding the child. Separated from his bunting and lying on a desk or table were the gems. Grabbing at them from across the table came the hand of Evil. Still holding the babe, I thrust my right hand over the jewels, intending to rescue them. But instead of being separated as they appeared, I found them congealed into a transparent substance which responded to my grip as a single unit. Suddenly, the baby and the jewels, which were once again safely beneath his feet in the bunting, were swept away from sight by a great eagle. Related Scriptures and Keys to Partial Interpretation Jesus came from another heaven (another country): “…but there is One Who has come down from heaven, the Son of man [Himself]…”{John 3:13} The bunting = a blanket or wrap = a mantle, i.e. an anointing Jesus appeared as an ordinary man: “…He has no [royal, kingly pomp] form or comeliness that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him” {Isa 53:2} The jewels are his inheritance in the saints: “And they shall be Mine, says the Lord of hosts, in that day when I publicly recognize and openly declare them to be My jewels – My special possessions, My peculiar treasure…” {Mal 3:17} “In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established” {2 Cor 13:1 KJV}. “And…the dragon…went in pursuit of the woman who had given birth to the male Child. But the woman was supplied with the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly from the presence of the serpent into the desert (wilderness, to the retreat) where she is to be kept safe and fed…” {Rev 12:13-14}. This is a place “prepared [for her] by God” {Rev 12:6}. THIRD DREAM In this dream I saw newly-born quintuplets, two in blue, two in pink and one in yellow. Although the parents did not appear in the dream, I knew them to be a couple well beyond child-bearing years in the natural, but still faithful in ministry. I watched as someone set up five carnival-like stand-up figures dressed in toddler clothes. Then each of the babies was placed so that its face fit into the empty space provided. Normally, this combination of infant face and toddler clothes would have been out of place, even bizarre. But the infants had matured so quickly that within the few moments it took to position them, their faces actually matched the size and shape of toddlers much older than themselves. Related Scriptures and Partial Interpretation Multiplicity and Acceleration God is replacing addition with multiplication “And…the number of the disciples was multiplied…” {Acts 6:1} God is doing a quick work “Til we all come…unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Eph 4:13}. Like King David, we are destined to shepherd before we are destined to rule. -Ruth French November Newsletter 2002 | Quiet Mind | Living Intercession Pastor's Journal November 2001 | A Job Experience | Destined to Become part 2 of 3 |
