A Harlot’s Torment

2 Cor. 7:1 (KJV)  “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Rev. 19:7 (KJV)  “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”

It is an amazing thing that we as believers somehow think we are free from the control of demonic forces. More directly stated, we think that we cannot be vessels for the kingdom of darkness because of our “confession” that Jesus is Lord. I cite you this example:

Matt. 16:23 (KJV)  “But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.”

Wow.  An apostle, great by our standards today, was rebuked because he spoke for and projected the will of Satan.  So, what makes us think that we are any better in this hour?  The only real reason is that because we as Christians are still trying to judge the world and neglecting the fact that judgment begins in the house of God.  No, it doesn’t begin around the house of God. It is not as though the war is taking place all around our neighborhood.  Instead, the bombs are bursting in the confines of HIS dwelling place. The question for us to ask is, are we a part of HIS house?

If we say, “yes,” then we need to acknowledge this is not a time to point fingers. God has not called us to be a prophet to the world in this hour, rubbing their noses in their sin, despite what the lofty-minded might say in the body of Christ. We are His wife and we must know that this is our time and season for perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

We think we know what it is to cleanse ourselves from the filthiness of the flesh.  It is not true cleansing, however, until the spirits of His people are free from  filthiness of the enemy.  We need to understand that Adam declared woman to be bone of His bone and flesh of his flesh.  However, the first Adam was earthly, the second Adam, being Jesus, is spiritual.  Jesus looks at his body and declares that she is spirit of His Spirit.

1 Tim. 4:1-2 (KJV)  “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”

The enemy has had a puppet ministry. The star performer has been the church. The enemy has attached strings to her members, pulling on her to make her perform. We are now in a time when God is giving us the grace to begin to cut strings. Those strings are demonic forces that have been wrapped up in the character of the church. In order for us to be led of the Spirit of God in our daily lives, we must stop yielding to demonic spirits that are appealing to our will and giving us spots and wrinkles.  These forces are causing our spirit man to be stained with the DNA of Satan himself.

The wife of the Lamb will be a woman who stops having spiritual intercourse with the puppet master. She will free her spirit from the spirits of darkness and yield herself only to the Spirit of God. She will take her will to the tomb that she may find the will of her groom in resurrection power. She will not be a harlot having her womb filled with the seed of many as a multitude feed off of her, but she will be a bride feeding off of the body and blood of Christ Jesus.
