That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving... Psalm 26:7 Vol. 12, No. 7 July 2003 Dear Family of God: We are at the time when we must grasp hold of what God has purposed us for in His Kingdom. Paul tells us to lay hold of the prize before us and to attain it. In order to do this we must lay all else aside and press into our appointed place in the Kingdom of God. God directs our life in terms of His goal for us. Today we are being challenged in every area of living whether we will take hold and obey God – NO MATTER WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE OR FEELS LIKE. We must realize we are shaping our eternal destiny with each decision we make – especially with correction or discipline. We all know in the military those who would be officer candidates are required to endure more difficult testing than the enlisted men. The Lord is testing us with severity today because there are a multitude of offices to be held in the Kingdom. So instead of considering how terrible your circumstances may be, consider how honored you are to be chosen to serve the Lord through much endurance. Your love for God, faith in God and obedience to God will be examined to the limits of your future responsibilities. Mat 20:22 “But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.” Can you answer this question? What is the Lord preparing you for? In Christ,
