That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving... Psalm 26:7 Vol. 13, No. 7 July 2004 Dear Family of God: Are you struggling? I know I am. It is a constant battle that is not letting up. Oh, yes, there are wondrous, endearing times that are incredible. That is the blessing of the Lord to let us know He is near. But the battle rages. Most of what I experience is what other people go through. As a pastor I battle along with you. When you are overwhelmed, I am overwhelmed. I, like the Lord, just want to see you overcome and get into the victory. It seems like each one does finally break through for some times of enjoyment. Thank God for that because when too many go through the battle, it is difficult to watch and maintain a level of encouragement for you. I often think about what our President must go through because of all the ugly things he has to endure. I recently heard and do believe that our President remains confident under the worst scrutiny possible. How can he do this? How can he remain constant when he is under attack daily? There is only one way – His faith in God. He believes God has done something tremendous in his life when he was saved and is still being saved Too many Christians don’t live that way. Too many don’t believe that God has truly delivered them from the wrath that is to come. They have forgotten the freedom that our Lord paid for with His life and blood. America has forgotten what our Lord has paid for with His life and blood. Too much is taken for granted and we just aren’t satisfied with what God has given us. We must repent, humble ourselves, and call out for the mercies of God each and every day. We still have the greatest life that is imaginable in America. We as believers have the greatest blessing known to man. Let’s stand firm in our convictions of liberty and see the salvation of the Lord. Stop being downcast in your souls. Hope thou in God that you will see the goodness of the Lord. In Christ,
Pr. Steve Cowardice Shying away, one eye to the ground A coward takes his place among the living dead He never sees the light of day For the Clouds of Promise are always in his way He cannot see the Promised Land For the laughter of the giants Thick as rain, fills his eyes
He shrinks from every Golden Opportunity For all he sees is despair in shining wrappings Not realizing the faith needed to open this package Constantly filling the prophecies of his enemies against him With his own doubt
What is needed? A Warrior, faithful and true Righteous in indignation Hopeful in hopelessness Strong in weakness Riding his Stallion Shield of Faith, Sword of the Spirit At His side.
Never look away from His eyes of fire Never allow a heart of doubt and unbelief But embrace The Warrior Embrace The Savior Embrace His Grace and His Love Or take your place with cowardice -by Henry Wright July Newsletter 2004 | Not Yet | The Passion Within part 1 of 2 Pastor's Journal July 2003 | Vision for Revival | Impartation and Increase part 1 of 2 |
