“That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving...” Psalm 26:7

Vol. 13, No. 11 November 2004

Dear Family of God:

We are now in a new blessed time with the Lord.  I believe we are going to see the hand of God stronger upon us than we have yet experienced.  He is the Faithful and True.  His Word will prevail.  We shall be victorious even when hard times are upon us.  We have nothing to fear.  I have discovered that almost all our trouble is found in our heads.  The enemy cannot touch our spirits so he fills our heads with doubt, confusion, and frustration.  But the Lord has made a way of escape for all who know Him.  Call upon the Lord:

Psa 18:3  “I will call upon the LORD, [who is worthy] to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.”

Psa 105:1  “O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. “

Psa 116:17  “I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.”

Psa 145:18  “The LORD [is] nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.”

Isa 12:4  “And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.”

Psa 55:16  “As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.”

We still have much to be thankful for during this season with our God.  So do it!  Call upon the Lord!

The Man of God

Wisdom, in a word, Wisdom

There he sits in his chair

Fingers interlocked, first finger on his lip

Knowing

You just know he knows.

In the Spirit,

There He is standing behind him, nail-scarred hand on his chair

The communion between them is so strong, Both know they are there

Hand on the lip, Hand on the chair

He leans forward to speak

“Not yet, Son.”

He sits back slowly, still taking it all in.

Crossing his legs and folding his hands in his lap,

He ponders on what is before him,

He reaches up, pats the Hand on his chair.

“I know, Son, I know, Hurts me too!”

How do I help he pleads, what do I say,

what do I do?

“Nothing, Son, Not now.”

Suddenly a flash of Light comes from the other side of his desk,

His heart leaps in anticipation, hope, caring, loving expectation all at once,

He reaches out and grabs a hand,

“HOLD ON!!” he screams at the top of his lungs

Looking over a cliff, in the night, on the edge of an ocean,

Pulling up a rain drenched survivor, in an ungodly storm,

They scramble to the top of the cliff!!

Rain still falling,

Lighthouse in the background

“Well done.” He says

As he touches the Hand on his chair.

Then he reaches across

Grabs my hand,

Places it on the nail-scarred Hand on his chair

“Well done, Oh Man of God.”
