The Passion Within - part 2 of 3

Psa 133:1 (KJV)  "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"

Repentance brings humility, which brings relationship, which gives devotion, which leads to intercession, which shows love, which brings unity, which gives us the body of Jesus Christ.

Remember this about passion: God gives us inner desires, which He wishes for us to attain. But if we don’t attain, then we find someone to blame. We think that someone else is holding us back, when, in fact, we could be problem.

John 15:7 (KJV)  "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." Sometimes when we ask about God’s will in our circumstances, nothing happens. We abide in God, but the rest of the chorus is His words abiding in us. His WILL, His WORD. If we can’t find the will of God in our situation, we should dig into the WORD.

Another step further: 1 John 3:22 (KJV) “And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight." We will only receive from Him if we keep His Commandments and are doing things that are pleasing in His sight.

Mat 22:37-40 (KJV)  "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. {38} This is the first and great commandment. {39} And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. {40} On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

The first we find easy, but the second we forget about. We are too busy blaming. When we make a mistake, we learn to live with it, we forgive ourselves pretty easy.  But what about our brother? Do we forgive him as easily? We are to love him as we love our self.

What is this love? It is unconditional love. This kind of love keeps no records of the faults of others. We also demonstrate this kind of love when we submit one to another.

1 Pet 5:5 (KJV)  "Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble."

True love is submission--being  willing to give up  for the good of another that which we want for  ourselves.
