Vision for Revival Phi 3:8-12 (KJV) {8} Yea doubtless, and I count all things [but] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ, {9} And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: {10} That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; {11} If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. {12} Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Undoubtedly, the cost of our losses spent to win Christ must be counted as nothing, lest we come short of truly comprehending the reconciliation that He died for us to gain. There Is No Reconciliation Without Repentance: Joel 2:12-13 (KJV) {12} Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye [even] to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: {13} And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he [is] gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. As we are willing to do whatever it takes to find Christ and His true and living will for our lives, we will receive divine instructions, along with many trials, all of which will allow us to know His mind, and to gain the understanding of His purposes for our lives, if we remain obedient. Vision Comes Only Through Obedience: In John 9:7, Jesus spit on the ground and made a clay substance, then placed it on a blind mans eyes and instructed him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. If the man had said, What on earth is this all about? Did you just put spit on my eyes? he would have gone home unhealed. Fortunately, the man did as the Lord had instructed, and came back to Him seeing. As for the church today, for some time now the Lord has been emphasizing repentance repeatedly, so we must respond according to His direction if we are to partake of the resurrection power that comes only through obedience by walking out what He is saying. Resurrection Power Comes Forth When The Stone Is Removed: Along with repentance it is extremely important that the saints of God know how to pray, lest we fall into the same traps the disciples experienced in the Garden of Gethsemane. Now, just as it was then, our prayers must line up with the will of the Father, and self centeredness must be left behind. Having that type of a humility, along with a contrite spirit, will make room for revival as the stones are rolled away from the dead places that hide deep within our hearts. Isa 57:15 (KJV) {15} For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. -Kurt Thurston July Newsletter 2004 | Not Yet | The Passion Within part 1 of 2 Pastor's Journal July 2003 | Vision for Revival | Impartation and Increase part 1 of 2
