Fire Baptism part 3 of 3 How does our hearts get hardened, our consciences seared? Through compromise. 1. Some look at themselves carnally, finding religiousness and then turning their religiousness into compromise. They tolerate things because they don't want a religious spirit. There is a difference between a religious spirit and holiness. 2. We don't know how to repent when needed. We shouldn't act humble just when we've done wrong. Sometimes we have to repent just because the other person is offended. If we can't repent to our brother, will we repent to God? 3. We often believe we cannot deal with weakness in our lives. We all have strengths and we all have weaknesses. We must attack our weaknesses and recognize them and deal with them the way God shows us, but many just ignore them, hoping they will go away. Because we don't recognize and deal with weaknesses, our weakness comes out in the form of sin, and we are still in denial, therefore denying the power of the baptism of fire in our lives. We still do not understand God's HOLINESS. It is in the form of fire. We can't be holy without being burned. A Spirit of perversion is attacking the Christian youth of America. This comes from too much idle time and compromise. Mat 15:1011 (KJV) "And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: 11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man." James 3:56 (KJV) "Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell." To be baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire is to be convicted concerning sin and righteousness and judgment. (Isa 6:67 KJV) "Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged." Isa 6:6-7 is known as the FIRE OF INSPIRATION. (Deu 4:24 KJV) "For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God." A husband becomes jealous, because of his love and protection over the thing most loved, his wife. The same is true with God. His fire protects the ones He loves most. Let's know God. Let's know holiness. Lord, help us to know You. Help us to be holy as You are holy.
