“That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving...” Psalm 26:7

Vol. 18, No. 1  January 2009

The watch word for our day seems to be “obedience.” God is driving this response home to us until it is deep in our hearts. I have such a love and trust for God that I believe He will give us exactly what we need to bring us to complete peace and safety in this day of uncertainty.
I have been noticing that there is much attack over the people of God in this hour to break them down and to cause them to back away from what God is asking and doing. We must not give in at any cost. Either He is God or He is not. Either He rules and reigns or we act on own, in which case our efforts will come to nothing. Stand firm in this day and don’t let the enemy run over you. Obey the Lord’s voice and honor Him as King who rules in absolute authority and sovereignty. No other rulership on earth or under the earth can compare to His outstanding ways.
There is a verse in the Bible that shows us how to stand victorious through all the onslaught: 1Jo 5:18 KJV “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.”
The word “keepeth” means to “hold fast.” What are we to hold fast to? The commands of God! When we walk in obedience to the Lord, the wickedness from the evil one cannot touch us or bring us any harm. Glory! You see, obedience really is the answer for every believer today. It brings you to a life that is filled with joy and fulfillment. So be OBEDIENT and watch the Lord take care of you.

In Christ,

Pr. Steve
