“That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving...” Psalm 26:7

Vol. 19, No. 2   February 2010

Perhaps you are having a difficult time accepting the place the Lord has you in right now. If so, go back and see where the Lord has brought you from. Yes, go back and remember what He has done for you in the past few months and even years. Seeing how much you have changed more into the image of Christ will lift you up and build up your confidence that He has been with you through some pretty tough times.

Our imaginations often keep us doubting that anything good has been happening in our lives. But we know the kind of God we serve and such doubts are lies. Cast down the imaginations that keeps you from perceiving the goodness of God. It is important to get this kind of mindset because discouragement is like a disease that spreads until it takes over the whole body. Don’t allow it to happen. You have been given faith to overcome and be victorious through the most adverse of circumstances.

How can you say you serve the Lord and not do what He says to do? Pick yourself up and rejoice in all the Lord has done in your life. There is plenty to rejoice over. You are saved and your redemption is drawing near. You are closer than you have ever been to your reward and the blessing of the Lord is upon you.

Besides all that, which is better? To sulk or to rejoice? Sulking takes the courage out of us: “dis-courage” = without courage. Today the Lord is looking for boldness to come to Him, knowing that He will answer our hearts’ cry.

It is time for the blessing of the Lord to flow once again with His people rejoicing in His continual goodness. And this blessing is for YOU!

In Christ,

Pr. Steve
