Levites is a boys group that will work to develop scripture memorization and teamwork in boys ages 9 and up. This will be done through monthly meetings that include but are not limited to camping, hiking, climbing, caving as well as helping others in the church and community. Other areas in their lives that Levites will touch include:
Learning to listen to and follow instructions from the Holy Spirit, their parents and other adults.
Learning to edify and encourage each other regularly.
Learning to work together as a team on projects presented to them.
Learning about the transformation that takes place in them, as they grow closer to the Lord.
Levites is a time of being able to share their concerns and feelings about where they are in life, what God is calling them to do and any fears they may have in following that calling. It will be a time that will challenge them and build their confidence in areas that they may never have been exposed to before. And in the process teach them that worship, praise and prayer are parts of our lives to be directed to our Lord Jesus Christ because we love Him.
Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
"Never Give Up."
The Levites Creed
Thou wilt show me the path of life: in they presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forever more. Psalm 16:11
L ife: The path that the Lord has placed me, as a Levite on, I will trust and obey my Lord for wisdom and instruction as I follow and grow on this path daily.
Energetic: This is the way I will meet the enemy of my soul. He will be defeated on the field of battle, for I am directed in battle by the Most High Lord. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever disgrace my Lord.
Values: As a Levite I will endeavor to uphold in my life include righteousness, peace, honor and character.
Integrity: I accept the truth that as a Levite my Lord expects me to move by His Spirit, be obedient, faithful and worship Him with my whole being. Always in prayer and open to repentance or rebuke.
Time: I will take the time necessary to stay in God’s word and preparing myself in prayer. Always sure of my submission to those over me, neatness of dress and care for all equipment in my possession.
Elite: The brand of solider a Levite exemplifies. Willing to go further, do more and fight harder when called upon to do so.
Surrender: The only surrender a Levite knows is that of Absolute Surrender to his Lord and Savior.
